Shih Tzu’s are known to be affectionate, joyful, and affable to people of all ages in addition to other dogs as well. These house dogs are quick to mature, typically reaching adult size in a span of 10 months. Being that they have a thick fur coat, Shih Tzu's often can trap allergens that result in itching and discomfort. In order to avoid this, it is essential to create a tedious routine in order to keep up with their coat, which is why they are often labeled as high maintenance dogs.
